How to keep the verse you carry looking carried-well.
Our leather
Blessac pieces are made from premium vegan leather — 100% animal-free — with gold hardware and printed scripture artwork. It asks for less care than hide leather, but the little it asks keeps the artwork bright for years.
Day to day
- Wipe with a soft, dry cloth — that is all most days need.
- For marks, use a cloth barely dampened with water and a drop of mild soap, then dry immediately with a clean cloth.
- Blot spills straight away; do not rub them in.
Storing your piece
- Keep it in its dust bag, lightly stuffed so it holds its shape.
- Store away from direct sunlight, radiators and car interiors — heat and UV are what age the surface and fade printed artwork.
- Let the bag rest empty rather than overstuffed; the seams will thank you.
The hardware and the print
- Polish gold hardware with a dry soft cloth only.
- Never use alcohol, bleach, solvent cleaners or baby wipes on the printed scripture artwork — they can lift the ink.
- Journals and Bible covers: keep dry; if caught in rain, stand upright and air-dry away from heat.
If something happens that a cloth can't fix, photograph it and write to us — we would rather look at it with you than have you guess.
